Quick update for anyone interested. I have just had a chat with jay at customer services who has advised that I will be moved to the new tariff as of tomorrow. Went with:
5GB(3GB after 28 February) for £22
Fingers crossed this goes through smoothly, I'll check this out tomorrow and give you all a quick update

I think the extra data is for life of contract but lets wait for the official o2 news post on here (I have been told it is imminent)

I am having a nightmare with this. Was told in store last Fri I could switch to 4G at no extra cost (was on £17pm 3G). But had to do it over the phone. Phoned up, was told no. Walked to the store 10s away, was put on 4G. Was told an extra charge was showing and if this was still on my bill (generated today), I should ring and they would sort it out. Phoned, told I was advised incorrectly and only offered to put me back on 3G.
Went to the shop again. They phoned up saying my offer should be honoured. Everyone is confused. The phone people are to ring me back. And now my 4G has been turned off!
Who knows what's going on?! Frustrated doesn't even cover it!

There must be a lot of accounts to retrospectavily apply this change to and agreed not well communicated. But mine has applied today O2
