I might have to give them a call myself, my phone is 4G ready, only thing I don't think 4G is working in my area yet...

If you take a look at some of the refresh plans now for a new signing or upgrade the £5 discount on the plans has been passed on to the total cost of the handset now.
Example, before today a 64GB iPhone 5S paying £319 up front had a total phone cost of £679 (making it overall slightly cheaper than an outright purchase from Apple).
The same phone now costs a minimum of £779!

Existing people already paying the extra £5 will get it reduced to £17. So the OP should 'upgrade' and then wait for the price reduction to kick in.

Pablo, My tariff is the 8gb £27 + £5 data bolt on - Do I get the auto reduction too.... I haven't phoned yet but any info up front would be good, thanks
Hi, the info I have is as follows:
They're removing the £5 add on to 8GB data, to align tariffs. Anyone on 8GB already has the top bundle, so would be moved to the next cheapest, meaning a £5 drop.
Only exception is CPW/P4U purchases, who aren't eligible for the deals.
