Upgrading and confused!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Decided recently to upgrade from Pay and Go (SIM only) to Pay Monthly (SIM only). Got the new SIM in today and have put it in my phone but the phone seems to think it's still on the old set-up ie my old number and Pay and Go. Tried to make a call out but it's telling me to top up my Pay and Go balance. Tried ringing the new SIM's number but it just goes to answering service. I do want to keep the same number and have just filled in the online form to that effect tonight but, what am I doing wrong?

Most changes like these happen at midnight.

If it's not happened by tomorrow then please call customer services.

Hi no but trying to fill it in now and can't because I don't know my existing Pay and Go SIM card's serial number. It's just a wee black chip and there's no numbers on it.
