Upgrading Early, will I pay double airtime?

Hey,

I have one month left on my phone contract and I am in 100% need of a new phone. I know I'll have to pay off my device plan, which is fine but I just want to make sure I won't pay double airtime and insurance next month.
I'll be keeping the same number, and I thought that it'd be unlikely to charge double to the same number but I just want to cover my bases and make sure I'm not out of pocket. I know this might sound like a really stupid question.

TIA

You just pay off the old device and from next month the new payments will kick in, so no double payments.
You will also need to tell the insurance about the change of phone.

@Anonymous

No you won't pay double as when you pay off the device plan you can upgrade straight away to a new tariff & phone
