Due to the higher cost tariffs with o2 I have found a cheaper deal elsewhere.

My question will o2 price match as I am a long time customer

Unlikely, but there is no harm in trying. You'll need to speak with Customer Service and ask for retentions. (assuming you are out of our minimum terms contract)

You can generally negotiate a small discount, say around £4.00 a month max.
So it depends on how much you are asking for really, but retentions and re-contracts is the way to go.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
