Upgrade with o2. Need to transfer my number over.

I've had iPhone contract with o2 (& just upgraded as it was due). Theres a different number on the new SIM. I want to keep my number I've had for years. It wont transfer over despite following the steps. I can't speak to anyone & website not dealing with queries. I can write but just wondered if there's something technical I can do myself! Thank you 😊

Can't you just put your old sim in new phone?

Use the old sim, no need to change it @MadameX

I've left old sim in old phone & using it just to read texts that are not reaching my new phone & new sim.

As the contracts are different costs, and I am now being charged for two lines, I want to ensure o2 do this right and put my old number on new phone.

You need to call customer service to migrate your number Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

If you did an upgrade, then you will only have 1 contract and only 1 sim will work.
If you added a new number, then you will have 2 contracts and both sims will work.
What does your my o2 say? There will be either 1 or 2 numbers when you go to manage my account...

There are two numbers. I went through the required procedure but nothing has happened.
