Upgrade vs Tariff Change

Hi, I have an old SIM only pay monthly contract (about £22 for 3GB data). If I look at changing tariff, the options are all more expensive or have less data. If I look at upgrading to another SIM only monthly plan, there are cheaper options with more data and disney+ thrown in. I don't get it. Should I just take an upgrade? Do I keep my number? Thanks everyone.

@StuB

A tariff change is for someone who cannot upgrade, so in your case, yes you should upgrade and you automatically keep your number.

All changes are done on the system so you keep the same sim card too.

Hi @StuB

If you upgrade to another sim only (or other contract) you keep your number. You may be better off taking another Sim only and waiting for offers on contracts if you want yo change phones eventually.
