Upgrade on O2, but can't do it via Third Party

Hiya,

 

My contract is not due until September but O2 have offered me an upgrade now and they will pay the rest of my contract.  So, armed with this information, I decided to try and upgrade with a third party so that I can claim a free gift, however, they said that as my contract is over 45 days away they've not been approved by O2 to upgrade?  Seems a bit daft as I'm not moving away from O2 but would like to take their offer of an early upgrade for free.

 

Has anyone had this same situation and been able to do it?

The offer is only available if you upgrade to a refresh contract which is only available direct from O2.

You can only do it through O2 directly and by taking out a new Refresh contract.
