Upgrade confused

When offered o2 over the phone, i trued to get a pay monthly contract phone but instead was offered a monthly sim with an upgrade in 3months. When I checked my o2 upgrade options it said I had to wait 6months I want to know why I was told something different. The main reason in confidence I accepted the terms of the pay monthly sim contract was that I would be getting a contract phone within three months.

Quite a few people being told this over the past few months. Pity O2 Cs don't understand the process.

@HannahmYou will be eligible for the upgrade in 3 months, though only if you have paid every bill on time, which I presume you have?
