Upfront Cost Refund

I tried to take out a contract for an Apple Watch and it was an upfront cost of £20. I was unfortunately declined but the upfront cost is still in my pending transactions. I did this back on the 3rd of May... does it usually take this long? I can’t get through to anyone to query this either 😞

It will be reserved by O2 but never claimed as it didn't go through

It should be available back in your account within 5 working days @LJM26

I did this on the 3rd of May... it’s definitely been more than 5 working days now and it’s still there 😞

Hi since your transaction was declined so it won't be deducted.
You don't have to worry about that.
If you want to buy the device again I will advise that you increase your upfront payment so you can qualify.

My bank have said they can’t do anything about a pending transaction 🤷🏻‍♀️
I know it won’t be deducted from the balance if I was declined but surely it shouldn’t take this long for it to go back into my account? Like I’ve explained in my post I did this on the 3rd of May and it’s still pending. I have attempted to call as well but no success.

If you apply again you’ll be refused due to too many credit checks and each one lowers your credit score, so not a great idea.

I’m not planning on applying for anything again. I don’t intend on making my credit score any worse than it already is 😂
I just wish I could get through to someone for them to help me, but I understand how busy it must be at the moment.
