How can I stop O2 sending me unwanted texts and emails? The unsubscribe button on their emails doesn’t work and when I call 2220, I’m told I only receive information about my account. This is clearly untrue - I’ve had several texts/emails in recent weeks about England rugby despite having (a) a limited interest in rugby and (b) supporting Wales when I do.

It's free to send even if your phone warns you that it might not be.
It can take up to 72 hours for the request to take effect.

Hi @KateJ1
You need to go into My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 and check your contact preferences.(They are in a drop down box with the title MORE....
Then you will see this picture
You just need to untick the boxes which aren't relevant to you....

Thank you. Helpful advice, but none of the boxes is checked so I can’t uncheck them. Any other ideas on why O2 thinks I care about English rugby?

I was able to unsubscribe from the emails by using the link at the bottom of the rugby emails.

This one @jonsie?
No, that was unticked already but O2 still sent rugby emails but strangely to an older email address that I used when I first registered with O2.
There was an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.
