Unusual call from 01618148825

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

Can you please confirm the number 01618148825 has anything to do with O2? I doubt it will.

After few unusual questions which O2 should already know - if the call has anything in common with them- , I gave no relevant answer, and made the guy feel he will not get anything from me, he apologised and hanged up.

Please be aware if you get unusual calls, don't give out personal details.

Claims to be O2 but no definite answer.
@Toby, can you confirm?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@Anonymous You did precisely the correct thing. We hear stories like this constantly here. On no account should anyone give any information to, or agree to anything from a cold caller. I know I've said this before, but I'll say it again. Just hang up. If they persist and call again, and you hang up every time they call, they will eventually get the message. It's an annoyance, certainly, but hanging up is the only way to get them to stop, and it takes no effort to do it.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Hey,

Did you try calling them back? This post is all about this weird number. May be a company name "intelling" and the call is on behalf of o2 (but nobody really knows : )

Never ever respond to a cold call no matter who they claim to be. I've lived by this rule since first getting a mobile when Adam was a lad.

Beware for sure. Please people do not give any details or account number if anyone calls you no matter how plausible or good the offer they make. They want your money, end of!
