What does it mean 'your phone is not personalized' when trying to unlock the device?

@Davey99

It means you have an LG which are notoriously difficult to unlock.

Try the code in both the network and service provider menus but if neither work you'll have to take it to a phone shop to unlock it.

It may also mean it's not locked, but not usually.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

All I could find after a quick Google was this:

https://www.unlockboot.com/unlock-lg-mobile-phone-code/

and this:

https://cellphoneforums.net/lg/t377293-what-does-mean-lg-phone-not-personalized.html#axzz7NG6UTJ9i

Are you unlocking an LG phone?  Seems to suggest that the unlock was successful but now needs a config file from the new provider.

Have you tried putting your O2 sim in and rebooting the phone?

It is a LG G7thinq, doesn't let you put the code in, only has dismiss, I'll have to take it to the shop, thanks anyway.

Going to ask a really silly question, but have you already tried the other network sim @Davey99 ?
If yes, what error did you get (if it didn't work)?
The G7 wasn't released until 2018, and I think o2 stopped locking phones before then...
