I received an automated with the following unlatching instructions
Hi,
Your unlatching request has been completed. Unlatching instructions :
The code you require for IMEI No - **************** is as follows:-
(16 digit code number)
LG Unlocking procedure for the ********** handset LG G7
1.Turn on the mobile handset Enter PIN code if required .
2.From the home screen press the ?Call? button or enter the dialing
menu and then enter the following text: 2945#*710# an unlock menu will
automatically appear.
3.Select ?Service Provider Lock
It's at this point I get a message on screen that says Your phone is not personalised - and the only option I have is to press the DISMISS button taking me back to Unlock Menu
What on earth does that mean and how do I get over this

That message would normally indicate that the phone is not locked.
Does a non O2 sim work in it?

Actually just noticed you selected service provider lock.
You'll probably need to select Network lock instead.......

I get the same message that my phone is not personalised regardless of the option I chose from the unlocking menu, and no other option other than to dismiss the message. It's so frustrating!
