Someone please help! My daughter is off to Asia and Australia next week so on Tuesday I put in a request to unlock (phone out of contract) and was quoted - in writing - 72 hours or sooner. Today when I went on chat (still not unlocked) I was told technical difficulties and would now be 7 days!! 02 shop can’t help and the chat people just send you round in circles - I even spoke to a supervisor but he just kept quoting the same thing. As she is going on Monday we were working to the 72 hour deadline verbally and on the 02 website. I was on chat for 1 hour 43 minutes.

It's above and beyond time that O2 sorted this unlocking fiasco out. Why does O2 drag it's feet in sorting long running issues like unlocking out. None of the other networks seem to have a problem. It can't be a backlog caused by selling all phones unlocked now, surely not after all this time?

If so then they need to allocate more staff to this or even employ them specifically.

There must be more threads on unlocking than any other single issue.

Hey @Jw, unfortunately I can't see any replies you send via email, it needs to be done via the forum (on the top right you should see a little envelop, that's where your messages are). As soon as I have the additional info I'll get someone to look into it! slight_smile

@Jw Thanks for sending your details over! I've already heard back from our gurus and the phone should now be unlocked. Can you please put an active non-o2 sim card into the device, go to Settings > General > About and sign-in with your apple ID to complete the unlock?

Any further issue or questions, let us know slight_smile
