Unlock phone fiasco

I am in New Zealand for 3 months and tried a local sim after in 5 days I had a £25 addition for my bill being from use abroad. Tried 3 times now to unlock my iPhone 7 Plus using My O2 and it still will not unlock. This is criminal. I have had to turn off all mobile data so I do not have to pay O2 a huge bill. What a con.

I’ll tag @Marjo to help you on Monday as there have been some problems recently.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi @DarrenD! Sorry to hear you've been having problems with unlocking your phone. 😞 Just to check, as for iPhones there's no specific unlocking code sent, did you try inserting a non-O2 SIM card to check in case it's already been unlocked after submitting the request? Still no luck?
