I tried to get a PAC code last week but was told I needed to call in...

O2 :

at 16:05:42

I'll surely help you out with this.

O2 :

at 16:05:44

For the account security, can I get your full name please?

Sarah:

at 16:06:02

I tried over the weekend and was on hold for 30 mins and again today and I'm currently on hold for 20 mins so far.

Sarah:

at 16:06:06

Full name is XXXXXXXXXX

O2 :

at 16:06:28

I'm sorry for all the trouble.

O2 :

at 16:06:37

Is XXXXXXXXXXXX  the mobile number you need help with today?

Sarah:

at 16:06:47

YesFrustrating as the reason I'm cancelling is because I have no signal and am calling from a l

Sarah:

at 16:06:59

landline so its costing me money to be on hold! 😞

O2 :

at 16:07:24

Just a small security check.

O2 :

at 16:07:32

Please can you tell me the 3rd & 5th characters of your security answer?

O2 :

at 16:10:49

I haven't heard from you for a while.  Are you still there?

Sarah:

at 16:11:26

O2 :

at 16:12:08

You don't have to call for this now.

O2 :

at 16:12:19

I've checked it for you. You're eligible to cancel your contract with a 30 days notice. To cancel your contract, I'll need to transfer you to our Re-Contract team. However, you may need to wait 1 minute. Shall I go ahead?

Sarah:

at 16:12:56

Yes please - am I OK to hang up the phone?

O2 :

at 16:13:07

Please keep the chat window open until you get connected.

Sarah:

at 16:13:36

Yes thats fine - just asking about the phone as I am still on hold...?

O2 :

at 16:13:50

Just cut that call.

O2 :

at 16:13:55

No need to call now.

Sarah:

Sarah:

at 16:15:38

Hi there:

at 16:15:37

I'll read the chat history.

:

at 16:17:39

It's sad to know that you want to leave us.

Sarah:

at 16:17:54

I have no choice I'm afraid

:

at 16:17:51

Have you got a deal from other service provider?

Sarah:

at 16:18:06

Its just too difficult trying to make calls on wifi

Sarah:

at 16:18:11

all the time

Sarah:

at 16:18:36

I have very poor signal at home whereby as much as it says 1 or 2 bars sometimes, people can't hear me at the other end.

Sarah:

at 16:18:51

Your system says it should be fine but its incredibly frustrating.

:

at 16:18:48

Can you confirm the postcode?

Sarah:

at 16:19:08

I also tried another SIM that O2 sent me but its no better...

Sarah:

at 16:19:15

 :

at 16:20:23

 :

at 16:20:25

Our network is currently working fine.

Sarah:

at 16:20:59

I'm sure it is... but I can't use the phone in or near my house as the signal is so poor...

Sarah:

at 16:21:42

Look I'm not being awkward but this is a joke. I have had numerous conversations with your guys explaining that the signal is fine at my house, yet everyone I speak to says they can't hear me when I'm on the mobuke

Sarah:

at 16:21:50

mobile and that the signal is breaking up.

:

at 16:22:11

Have you heard about TUGO?

Sarah:

at 16:22:42

My husband had the same problem and changed very happily & no longer has issues so I want to do the same. I've spent the past 10 months on a contract that I've been paying for but cant get a refeund as your system says I have a signal

Sarah:

at 16:22:57

TuGo is not practical for eveyday use as it misses incoming calls

Sarah:

at 16:23:33

Its fine for outgoing but doesnt notify you of a missed call and you have to keep going into it regularly...

Sarah:

at 16:24:24

In addition it doesnt help that I have one of the iphone 5's that was recalled due to a battery problem but I live 70 miles from the nearert apple store & with a full time job and 2 toddlers,

Sarah:

at 16:24:40

a trip to westfield at a time they can see me is totally impractival

:

at 16:24:36

Yes it does notify you about the miscall.

Sarah:

at 16:25:09

I tried it a few times and the notifications didnt show up & friends & family were complaining they couldnt reach me

Sarah:

at 16:25:23

Its not practical to switch from one to another

Sarah:

at 16:26:17

20 minutes and I'm still in the same position I was last time one of your colleagues told me to use TuGo... its fine but not good enough.

Sarah:

at 16:27:13

I would like to get a PAC code to move across to another provider, however I want to keep my iphone unlocked so I can use it to connect to wifi for the children to use in the house, and maybe one a PAYG SIM or Data only SIM if there is such a thing...?

:

at 16:28:19

I'll help you with the PAC code.

:

at 16:29:41

Before I generate the PAC code, I'll give you some information.

Sarah:

at 16:36:43

...??

:

at 16:37:21

Thanks for waiting.

 :

at 16:37:27

I'm sorry the system are slow.

:

at 16:37:44

PAC is valid for 30 days. Once you transfer the number using PAC to another service provider, your O2 account will be deactivated

:

at 16:37:44

lPlease make sure that you use the PAC within 30 days if not your O2 account will remain active with us and you'll be charged as per your tariff

:

at 16:37:44

Your final bill will be generated 14 days after the contract is cancelled.

:

at 16:37:44

Sarah: at 16:39:07

OK thank you - what can I do about ensuring my handset is still OK to use via wifi etc as I am all set up at home via the cloud... will this be affected?

:

at 16:40:41

Yes it'll be affected once the O2 contract is cancelled.

Sarah:

at 16:41:26

OK how can I avoid this? PAYG SIM or otherwise?

:

at 16:42:32

Yes if you want I'll you to move your number to pay and go.

:

at 16:42:39

It's free to transfer to pay and go..

Sarah:

at 16:43:49

No I'd like to move my existing number to EE for my main phone and then obtain a PAYG SIM for the children to use my old handset...

Sarah:

at 16:44:00

Is this possible?

:

at 16:44:45

Yes it's possible.

Sarah:

at 16:45:08

OK lets do that then please.

:

at 16:46:17

:

at 16:46:26

I'll help you with the PAC.

:

at 16:46:47

Here’s some info you’ll need to read about disconnecting. here

:

at 16:54:11

I've sent you a PAC via text.

Sarah:

at 17:03:35

Thanks - can you please advise how I need to go about getting a PAYG SIM requested before the transfer happens please... dont want the phone to be disabled...

:

at 17:05:08

I've give you the information about the disconnection.

Just order a PAYG sim here https://www.o2.co.uk/freesim/
You phone will still work on wifi just the same unless you delete any info or reset it.
The PAYG sim will come with a new number that you just need to top up to use - All the instructions will come with the sim.

To add ending the contract will not stop your phone from working.

You can use an O2 payg sim or use the unlock form I added and use any network SIM card in it.
