Unable to process payment text

I have just had a text from a mobile number ending in 977 saying they couldn’t not process my payment and contains a link to click.
This has never happened in the 10+ years I have been with 02.
Is this a legitimate message?

No...its a scam. I got one and my bill is not due until 31st July...block and delete it!

It's a well known scam
Block the number and report it free to 7726.
