Unable to change direct debit online

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I need to change my direct debit details (inc. account name), but can't seem to do it online (throws a system error).

I tried calling 202 as advised by the Live Chat agent, but can't figure out what option I actually need.

What is the best way of doing this, as it is coming out of an old account..

thanks

And that above is the only way to do it... (for your own security)

@MI5 @Cleoriff If it's an account name change, as the OP has stated, doesn't that have to be done with form filling and cannot be done over the phone?

Yes, correct. Marriage certs or deed poll would have to be sent untimately for the name to be changed.
