Unable to Text to an International cell number?

I changed my phone back in September, Nokia to Nokia; same number; same network.

Previous phone I could text message friends in Italy, new phone unable to send text to the same numbers! They can text me. I am able to phone them, speak no problem.

So Why am I unable to text them, please ??

Have they accidentally blocked your number for texts?

Sorry, I am not very tecnically minded, this is a new phone to me.

I have gone into messages; into settings - But, unable to find where the above number is?? Message Center - what other option could it be under, please? (Pay Monthly)


I can sent to other UK numbers - not Italian friends. I can call and speak to them; no numbers are blocked.

To find message centre number go into Messages> Message settings> More settings and click on Text Messages ....this will then show you your message centre number (This is on my Android phone)

There is a code to do this, though I never use it

Still having the same issues UK = OK; Italy & Germany = not received!
