Hi. I pay for for a Plus Plan because I go the USA a lot and noticed recently that I can't make or receive any calls. It says on the O2 website this has been the case since 2023 and I must enable 4G calling. However, the video is very outdated and so iPhone options are not the same, with my phone automatically providing 5G calls and data as standard. However, even with wi-fi calling on and connected to wi-fi, I am unable to make any calls. Is anyone else having this problem? Since I only set up this plan to access the roaming benefits, what are my rights if I want to cancel? Thanks.

You can't use wifi calling when abroad but you must use 4g calling when in USA.
Turn off 5g in the phone settings and select 4g only.

The reason for 4G Calling (VoLTE) is because there is now no 3G in the USA and calls cannot be made over 4G networks without it.
5G is a bit of a red herring as there are no systems in place to allow calls over 5G so the phone would use 4G anyway.
So VoLTE needs to be enabled before you go.

Ah it is definitely having wi-fi calling on that is scuppering everything. Thank you both very much for your help, all sorted.
