Good mornnig,

 

I have made my monthly payment of £24.01, However this payment has been took twice, so a total of £48.02 has been deducted from my account. As a mater of urgency could i please have one payment of £24.01 refunded to my account?

O2 never refund anything "urgently"
At best it will take 2 weeks and by then your next bill will be nearly due, so you may as well leave it to pay next month.
The best chance is asking your bank to do a reversal of one of the payments, which will only take 2 to 3 days.
Think about setting up a direct debit to avoid issues in the future too.

It sounds to me as though there is a direct debit but the OP has made a manual payment too close to the due date of the direct debit.(Which I can never understand the point of!)
