Hi,
My o2 account has been closed before my number has been transferred to my new provider. I now have no service on either phone/network so am unable to make a call to your helpline to be able to get someone to help me, even though it says to contact o2 to organise an eSIM transfer. I need urgent help in getting this sorted, I am going away with work in 2 days and will be unable to make any calls unless on WiFi!!!!!

You need to contact O2.

We are all customers on here so can't access accounts.
You mention eSIM transfer, but you would need either an eSIM or Ordinary SIM from your new supplier
Assumed you gave them a PAC code as per
Guide: Cancelling Your Contract
What does you new provider say?
