Good morning, we are traveling to Turkey this month and wondering what is the best options for using our phone at the hotel (the Wi-fi at the hotel is a bit hit or miss !)

Hi @Ke1

You need to take care when in Turkey. Although it's in Europe it's not in the EU

You will all need the O2 Travel Bolt on before you go.....If you've got a Pay Monthly sim, text O2TRAVELto 23336. (It's not available on PAYG). You need to activate this at least 24 hrs before you travel.

Turn Voicemail off before you go and when able to use Wifi then do so.

Put phone in airplane mode before you leave the uk and turn on WiFi. Use WhatsApp, Messenger etc to stay in touch over any WiFi hotspots and do not turn your phone on and off whilst abroad.
This way you will not acquire any additional charges at all.
