All the info you need about cancelling a contract here...

I think you will find O2 are right sadly. They may offer you a goodwill gesture but that isn't 'written in stone'

You are too far into the contract to cancel it now, you would have to pay for the remaining months.

We recommend you test coverage with a pay and go sim before starting a contract.

Have you checked here for local mast problems? http://status.o2.co.uk/

Your only chance is to go through the complaints process http://www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain but there is no guarantee that they will let you off free as they don't guarantee 100% trouble free service and is mentioned in the T&C's you have signed up to.

In extreme circumstances though, they have in the past, allowed people to return their phone and walk away.

there is a mast problem local to me , but unfortunatly there are problems with the mast every couple of weeks , the loss coverage of coverage happens on a regular basis  and lasts for up to 3 or 4  days each time . the longest time was 2 weeks with no coverage

If you keep reporting it and get anyone else you know to report it as well, I'm sure they will get it fixed soon which would be a better outcome for you.

Not anything we have heard of before - Do you have any evidence or is it a wild guess?
