Just wondering why O2 would charge me £4.99 per day when in Cape Verde when data roaming was turned off on my phone?

@JohnAtkn

O2 travel charges are not just for data.

They can be triggered by calls and texts too.

You should also turn off data completely, not just data roaming.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

And turn off divert to voicemail, and don't ring back when roaming, @JohnAtkn

If you answer a call while roaming (unless in the EU, for the time being!), you also pay.

The only thing free is receiving an SMS text message. Usually.

Rip-off, really, isn't it ?
