I want to take my phone abroad just to use the camera on it, I'm not interested in people being able to contact me or getting onto the internet. Is there a way to do this without getting charged for anything?

Switch off data roaming, mobile data, voicemail before you leave the UK and use wifi only.

Or you could just take the sim card out of the phone.

Settings>>General>>Mobile data then slide to off the mobile data and data roaming toggles.

Dial 1760 to switch off voicemail and 1750 if you want to switch it back on.
