Travel to USA

I'm travelling to the USA next month and realised that O2 charge crazy prices for data roaming.

My phone is locked (and i can't get it unlocked as its a business contract).

Does anyone know if any of the US networks will work on my O2 locked UK iPhone 6 plus?

Or any other options!

Hi @Anonymous

You may be better off buying a cheap unlocked phone here and putting a local US sim in it....

Wifi and skype or buy a cheap burn phone when you get out there.

Your phone won't work with any US sim card.

Use wifi, TuGo will also be an option over wifi.

Depending on how long your vacation is, I'd be inclined to get a Three SIM card, Feel at Home roaming, allows up to 25GB data while abroad

Unfotunately with that particular phone options are limited which is why buying a cheapie over there was suggested earlier.

I would have been the first to advocate a Three sim card, having just come back from 2 weeks in France with a zero additional bill from O2 (I used Tugo over the Three data connection), however, I read the OP carefully so didn't suggest it in this instance.
Doesn't negate the opportunity to buy a cheap PAYG phone though to use with a Three sim card wink
