Hi @Anonymous O2 travel rates here http://www.o2.co.uk/international/internationalhub

Best ways are to use wifi where possible and also use Tugo http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/tu-go

No doubt the cheapest way, if your phone is unlocked, is to use a local sim

A combination of a local sim card for data and Tu for calls and texts.
Note, Tu should only be used for contacting UK numbers, use the local sim for local numbers.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Also use the local sim for data when in NY. Roaming charges for data using an O2 sim in the US are extortionate. £6 per MB. A good local sim for NY is T-Mobile. There is also AT&T, but their pricing plan isn't as good, in my opinion.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
