I want to transfer my BT mobile number to my existing O2 phone. I have a PAC code and started using the O2 online transfer, but am confused by the numbers it wants filled in.

There are 3 places to enter numbers :-

“your mobile number” which I assume is current O2 number.

”the mobile number you want to transfer” which I assume is my old BT number.

”the new mobile number” what is this ??

@ICEpete

Your mobile number is any number you want to use as a contact number.

The mobile number to transfer is the number you want to keep.

The new mobile number is the temp number allocated to you by O2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I think it asking to confirm the number, as some people use STAC codes and not PAC.

Are you on this form: https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number/online-form

Thanks for prompt replies.

2 different answers.

Madasaf1sh ,     I think, suggests it’s the number I want to keep, i.e repeated.

MI5 say it’s the temp number. I’ve had this O2 number for many years, it’s not a new O2 contract, so is it the old O2 number I want replaced ?
