Transferring Number

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all, Not sure if this is the right place but here goes anyway. Basically, i've got a new account and i'd like to transfer my old number across (Both O2), however, the previous account is in my now ex-Stepmothers name. Is there anyway to transfer the number without involving her at all (or with as little contact as possible), as it would involve a lot of awkwardness to try and organsise. Cheers.

If the account is in someone else's name, unfortunately, they must initiate the transfer.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Ahh okay. If they i could get them to get the PAC code, would I then be able to use that to transfer the number?

You don't need a PAC to transfer between accounts, just the account holders permission.

If theirs any months still to run on the original contract that would have to be paid up also, if you can get the account holder to initiate the transfer.

Hope all goes ok for you.

hi  There,

Unfortunately in order to do the transfer you either need to call 202 together or she needs to call first, add a specific password that she would have to give you to quote when you call back. Hope this helps slight_smile
