Hello can someone please tell me the correct process of transferring a number to someone else that’s still in contract? I’ve been speaking to o2 all week who all give me different answers. Thank you on advance

If it's a personal contract you can't just transfer ownership.

The person who wants the number will have to take a new contract in their name and pass all the credit checks.

The number can then be migrated to the new contract Guide: Migration & porting into O2  

The person who pays for the account can be changed but the ownership will remain with the original contract holder.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you for your response. I’m still in contract so if I pay it off then the other person can take out a contract then the number can be transferred?
