Solved: Transfer network, but keep contract

I am in the mid of my o2 sim only contract and I want to move to EE, transferring the phone number. But I also want to keep my current o2 contract. Is it possible to have a new phone number assigned to my o2 contract, rather than it be closed the moment i request the PAC and do the transfer?
