I'm collecting a new iPhone tomorrow and want to transfer my O2 eSim from my existing iPhone to the new one. But I'm in the US so can't pop into O2. How do I go about this?

You can't I am afraid as the transfer esim option doesn't work with o2 (or many other networks outside the US to be honest).

Sim Swaps dont really work outside the UK either..

You will have to wait to do it when back in the UK..

With great difficulty.

You will need to either do a SIM swap via MyO2 if you are on the new billing system or get O2 to send you a new QR Code

There is no guarantee however that the SIM will activate when not on the Home network.

Use

+44 7860 980 202

To phone O2 for free from the USA

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

I would strongly advise you wait until yoiu are back in the UK and visit an O2 store

I fear you will end up with no working sim at all because O2 will disconnect  your present sim when ordering a new one
