Hi am currently on 50GB sim only plan my contract ends May 2019.

Thinking of going on o2 new price plan where you can choose length of tariff etc would o2 let me do that?

Think I will go for a custom plan when i have decided on a new phone my go for 3 months and upfront payment will let you know when i go for it.
So there you go people remember you can upgrade after 3 months on a simple only contract.
