Texts abroad

Hi, I have a few friends that are out in Spain & I have text them a few times to see how they are! I pay monthly & have an iPhone 5c if that makes any difference. Also I have text them through iMessage and I wondered if that costs or not.
Thanks x

Hi

If your texting a uk mobile then it's part of your text allowance.

Same for iMessage but that uses data and your friends will need their data or wifi on to receive them.

If their not on uk SIM cards / networks then here is the link http://international.o2.co.uk/internationaltariffs/calling_abroad_from_uk

Standard Rates

Our Pay Monthly customers will be charged at the following rate for calling this country.

Cost per minute of calling:

Landline 60p
Mobiles 60p
Cost per text message 20p

Yes, you need to have roaming enabled to allow your phone to fully connect to a foreign network.
