Hi , a question ?

i have 3 phones on different tariff , my daughter had no wifi at home so she has the most expensive one

O2 refresh 24 20gig

She has now moved house and is able to get VM and now has wifi , so she uses less than 3 gig a month .

I called O2 Customer services  to see about reducing her bill  by reducing her data .

I was told i cannot reduce data ? only increase it ?

So O2 wont let me reduce my bill ? untill the 24 month contract is out ?

is this normal

Yes I'm afraid that is all covered in the terms and conditions

Not applicable

The only way you can reduce is to pay off the current device plan & upgrade to a cheaper tariff

T&C,s need a change , My ISP allows me to increase or decrease my package anytime , Sky TV allows customers to change packages each month .

Ridiculous how you could take a new phone and if you are sold a package thats too high for your usage you cannot change it Shocked

I agree. It's a legacy from the old standard tariffs when the phone and airtime were combined and the cost of the contract averaged over 12 or 24 months, but with refresh where you pay full price for the handset regardless of tariff, there's no excuse for not allowing changes without fully paying off the device.
