Hello!

I go to London 1-2 times a year and want to use my iPhone there (I'm from Germany). So I got myself a pay as you go card from O2.

http://imageshack.us/a/img109/651/fotovnt.jpg

That's the paper-thingy in which the card was. So it says "Text & Web" and offers 500mb internet if I top up £10.

Now I was on the myo2-site and it says "Tariff Favourite Place".

So.... I'm a little confussed. Isn't "Text & Web" my tariff's name? And do I get this benefits even I have the tariff "Favourite Place"?

And when I come to the UK, can I just put the card into my iPhone and surf (after topping up), or do I have to change some settings in the menu?

Confussed greets from Germany

It won't be cheap. Perhaps you could try the chat option in my signature.

The My O2 problem could be because it's a new sim card and you can normally change tariff once every 30 days. But it's O2's error so ask them to change it manually for you on Chat.

You might have to set your APN to payandgo.o2.co.uk

http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=666&tab=8&step=2&settingId=3302

Here's the page:)

i believe "favourite place" in your my O2 account is the correct tariff however I haven't heard of this. Ill do some research and get back to you

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink

Phone customer service and ask them to change your tariff to text and web. Favourite place is totally different and probably not what you need.

This is what shows on my spare P&G account and there is the option to change tariff too.

Thanks you both

I tried to change the tariff via "myo2", but yesterday and today it showed "Technical Issue

Unfortunately you can't change your tariff at the moment.
There's a technical problem. For help, contact customer service."

Phoning the customer service is expensive from a foreign country, I assume 😕
