Last week on my way to work I got a call from someone at o2

He had an Irish accent and was speaking insanely fast and kept repeating everything.

He told me I was on unlimited texts and minutes with 1gb data. Which is fine for me

He then said that I could have 3gb data instead of the 1gb and it wouldn't cost any more or extend my contract.

So I said that was fine. He said it would take place from the next day.

I just had a look at my o2 to see that the 3gb tariff takes effect my next billing date in September and it's 2 pounds more expensive!!

Needless to say I've cancelled the so called free tariff upgrade and feel a bit misled.

Good job I checked before September.

Is this a common occurrence?

Never agree to anything from a cold call.

The only party to benefit will be the caller, why else would they be calling?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
