Switchup iPhone 14 Pro Max

Quick question to see if anybody on here is knowledgable on this...

So, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is 4 weeks delivery. I want to 'Switchup' to it... how do I do it and will I be without a phone for the 4 weeks delivery?

Ive done switchup deals but not when the phone is awaiting stock.

AFAIK you keep your old phone until delivery of the new one.

That's how it works with my two Voda contracts.
