Hi, I want to switch to a new network. I have requested my PAC code, but do I need to call O2 to cancel my current SIM only deal or will it automatically switch over once I give the new provider my PAC ? Forgive me, I haven't done this for around 20 years !

Thanks

No you do not need to speak to o2 at all, give the PAC code to your new provider and on the day the port happens your account with o2 will be closed , and a final bill issued..

DO NOT REPLY TO ANY DM's ASKING YOU TO CALL A MOBILE NUMBER IT WILL BE A SCAM

No there is no need to contact customer service

Your contract with O2 will automatically end as soon as your new network uses the PAC and transfers your number

NB. Don't cancel your direct debit until the final bill is produced (you may owe a partial bill or O2 may owe you a partial refund)
