Hello! At the expiry of my contract I will looking to switch to one of the SIM only rolling plans as they appear to be quite a bit cheaper than the SIM only contracts on offer. I was just wondering how I would need to go about making the switch? Do I need a new SIM card, do I need to cancel my current contract etc?
Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

@aaron2308 Use USwitch to get a better deal.
https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/o2/
Choose the deal you want.
This will automatically redirect you to the O2 website.
Just follow the prompts and choose the UPGRADE option.
Complete the deal and nothing on your account changes except the tariff at the new cheaper cost.
Payment date is the same and your next bill will be at a cheaper rate and will be made up of the pro rata cost of your old tariff and your new tariff.
The change should show in My O2 within 24 hours.
Volt benefits will still apply.

Hi @aaron2308
If it's the rolling plan you want, you will need a new sim as you are changing from contract to PAYG.
https://www.o2.co.uk/rolling-plan
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) 4445 or 0344 809 0222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on social media on Instagram https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW).

Going onto a rolling plan you can kiss goodbye to 4G Calling, WiFi Calling and 5G, plus some other things which aren't available on PAYG.
Much better getting a 12 month deal via the USwitch link
