Hi, I am a current O2 customer but instead of upgrading through O2 I went through a third party (dial a phone etc.) as the deals are much better.
I want to know how I go about cancelling my old contract and switching the number over my new contract.
My new phone is also a nexus 4 but I have been sent an old sim card and need a micro sim card, can O2 send me a micro sim or do I have to buy a sim card cutter?

o2 will supply a micro sim and transfer all old info over once you cancel the existing contract.
Ring 202 from the old phone and explain what you want to do

Thanks for the quick response. I gave customer service a call and they advised to call back after 7 so the new account is on the system 24hrs and they will swap everything from old to new, nice and simple! Could I go to a store before this is swapped and get the micro sim, or will it need to wait?

if you are close to an o2 store pop in and collect the micro sim then when you call they can arrange the sim swap at the time
