Switching from Orange to O2, but keeping my number. Android Phone.

The first thing I did when I received my new sim card (after activating it, topping it up etc) was fill in the form online to change my number. It's been almost a month now, and I've had no email from O2 (like they said they would) and I'm still operating on the "new" number. I've filled in the form several times, and no matter how many times I do, there is still no email, no confirmation text, and I'm confused. I've only got a few days before my PAC code expires and I'd like to be able to use my old number again.

Am I doing something wrong?

RIGHT!

So. Orange is absolutely useless. After calling O2, it turns out that Orange got a little bit confused when sending me my PAC code. I've now been told it should only be three letters and 5 or 6 numbers. The code that Orange sent me was three letters, six random numbers, and then my phone number. O2 have now sent off my request to change over my number, and hopefully it will be complete tomorrow.

I hope that this thread will help other people who get caught up in Orange's useless ways...
