Hi, I'm currently on a Lumia with monthly payments to O2 but looking to get a Huawei and switch to PAYG. Do I just make the purchase and visit my O2 store to change the contract and transfer data etc?  Might there be difficulties transferring from non Android to Android? Please advise.

@Aldi

You'll need to call customer services on 202 once you have your new phone.

They will need to cancel your contract and switch you over to PAYG due to the change in billing.

There will be a charge unless your contract has reached it's minimum term, in which case it won't cost anything.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

@Aldi  Please take a look at this guide: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774

Edit: With reference to recent events, I'm not sure buying a Huawei right now is a good idea either.Smiley Frustrated

No need for an apology, @Aldi. Your money. Your phone. Your choice. I hope it doesn't cause problems for you if the ban comes into effect at the end of August. Good luck.
