Hi All,

 

if i was to switch to a Sim only EE contract, do i have to pay my O2 contract off in full?

Only if you wanted to keep your O2 number.

There's nothing to stop you taking an EE sim only and using a new number. You can even use your O2 phone if unlocked, but if you want to transfer your O2 number to EE, you will be charged up to the end of your minimum contract term.

Although if @Ryan97  takes a EE sim only and uses a new number, he will still be liable for the remainder of his outstanding O2 contract @MI5.

Yes of course but no need to pay it all off at once. He can carry on with his monthly payments as normal.

He could of course but then have two contracts running... Not something I would be looking for. Anyway....

But it maybe an option if the O2 signal is poor and EE proves better. The OP can still transfer their number at a later date, if required, when the O2 contract is complete.
