you can leave them a message
You can also change via USWITCH ~ check it out it may suit you
Call O2 to migrate your number to the new account which will close your present account
INSTORE: if possible for you to get into an O2 shop go in and ask about new sim only deals

In addition to the info @TallTrees gives regarding your existing contract, your MyO2 will tell you if you are eligible to upgrade and what you may have to pay if still in contract (or text INFO to 85075).
Cheapest SIMO deals can be found on Uswitch or similar sites, eg https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/o2/
Once you click the offer you want, the deal is put into your basket in the O2 online shop, and everything else is done from there. Good luck, @sara91.

Do not cancel your current contract.
You just need to upgrade to a sim only tariff through your MyO2 https://mymobile.o2.co.uk/
The upgrade will simply replace your current tariff.
