Switch my number to iPhone 11 from iPhone 6

My new iPhone is still setting up transferring data. How do I move my number to the phone afterwards?

Do I need a different card or do you transfer number to new device’s Sim?

Is the sim used in iPhone 11 the same as iPhone 6?

In case it helps for you or anyone else viewing this topic later on, we have a guide on SIM swaps which also sheds some light on whether a SIM swap is needed (sometimes if upgrading and the old SIM fits the new phone, you could just use the old SIM).
