My dad got a text today as follows

 

FromO2: we were unable to process your last bill. To avoid suspension of your contract , please update billing information now.

 

second message was a link to website o2-bills.com

 

to me it looks like an obvious scam.

 

anyone else seen or get a message like this.

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

It's been well documented on here and thousands of these texts are going out daily. I do hope no one clicks on the link or gives out sensitive information unknowingly.

I also recieved a msg from [02] 447888536704 .we have failed to pre -authorise your monthly direct order .In order to avoid any late fees ,restore your account here [mod edit: removed to ensure safety] ..just to let you guys aware to look out for this obvious scam
