Well this is a new take on this from @Anonymous and the previous poster....
It is out of my area of expertise but is still very concerning

I've only been with o2 for 2 months and have already been overcharged the first month so if this is there security breach and haven't let customers know I will be even less impressed than I am now.
How were you overcharged in the first month? Usually your first month is for one month plus several days which brings you into line with your payment cycle?
Also being careful not to take this off topic so if this is not the case and it hasn't been resolved would you start a new post regarding the overcharge.

I followed the link and logged in. I was asked to confirm my address (which I did) and the next page asked me for all my card details and my bank account / sort number. It was then I became suspicious and decided not to proceed.
Is this genuine?!

@Anonymous are o2 aware that customers are now receiving text messages like this?
It is getting bad out there. Should o2 be temporarily restricting access to accounts until this is resolved?

This sentence alone is the worrying one (to me anyway)
"I have recieved a text from "O2UK", which is on the same text thread as all the other texts I get sent monthly"
If I got this....I would think it genuine. (Probably not after reading all this today....but making a point about the texts being linked to usual O2 ones)
